I am into Agriculture in Ghana, West Africa, especially fruits (Mangoes). Where to find funding to go on?

The farming area is about 100 acres of land which could be expanded to include sheep, goat and ostrich farming all as animal husbandry.

I think you may find it difficult to obtain funding. From within Ghana itself funds are very limited and what funds are available have often been supplied by other countries that have stipulated how the money is to be spent.

Trying to obtain funding from outside Ghana is a possibility but this only really works if it's a viable commerical investment or has a charitable objective. You may find it very difficult to convince anyone that this is a commercially viable investment, many investors want a quick and guaranteed return and as produce from African countries is locked out of many trade agreements it's often difficult to sell, especially at a profit.

If your ambitions are solely or largely charitable you may be able to get assistance from an organisation such as USAid which is active in Ghana in promoting agriculture. http://www.usaid.gov/

Depending whether the produce is for subsistence farming, education, national or international markets will determine to an extent who best to approach. but USAid could be a good starting point.
